The Quorn Community invite Quorn Quandong Festival goers to join an amazing line-up of speakers on October the 25th and 26th in the main street of our historic town.

ABC’s Gardening Australia presenter Sophie Thomson will be present in 2025 to host and facilitate a range of speakers to discuss selecting, growing, harvesting and processing native food plants in low rainfall regions.
Whether you’re a farmer, gardener, community volunteers or local business with an interest in native foods – there is something here for everyone!

Sophie will be joined by a talented group of presenters including Andrew Fielke, Llyal Dudley, Trish Slattery, Sharon Taylor, Bob and Sue Tulloch and Glen Hughes
Sophie will be matching the botanical s to some of Andrews delicious recipes. Trish Slattery returns to share her extensive knowledge of our native bees and their essential role in the ecosystem. Sharon Taylor will delve into the importance of healthy soils, highlighting the benefits of biochar, berms, and swales for sustainable planting. Glen Hughes will provide valuable insights into the challenges of droughts and floods in our far north. Lyle Dudley joins the line up bring his own expertise to the days discussions, and Bob and Sue with their extensive knowledge on all things Quandong.
